LOS ANGELES BRANCH ORGANIZER

Time: 8:30 AM– 1:30 PM

Date: June 19, 2010

Day: Saturday

Attendees: 8th – 12th graders (each branch is asked to bring 5 – 10 students, parents, at least 5 members from each branch.

Cost: Each branch is asked to donate $100 .00 to defray the cost of the breakfast and the t-shirts

Schedule:
8:30AM – 9:00 AM Continental Breakfast of Pastries, juice and water   
   
9- 9:30AM Introduction and purpose of the conference, with a welcome from the Sectional Director.

9:30 AM – 1 PM Workshops- various breakout sessions: Financial Aid, college readiness, Information on the HBC, Transition from, JC’s to four year colleges. Other sessions are being planned. There will be a question and answer period during each session.

1:00-1:30PM -Box lunch provided by the college.

We will have t-shirts for all participants including adults. The high schools in close proximity to the college may be contacted. The invitation has been extended to middle school students. We ask that the members assist with sign in, setting up and serving the continental breakfast, monitoring throughout the conference and perhaps facilitation during the workshops. At the end we need some of the members to help to return the facility back to the condition we found it.
